Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including loading and unloading shipments, order picking, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within the facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with heavy equipment operation, contributing to our commitment to excellence in shipping and receiving.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Perform order picking tasks by accurately selecting items from inventory based on customer orders.
- Package products for shipment, ensuring that all items are securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency within the warehouse.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
- Fabricate or assemble products as needed based on specific requirements or customer needs.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate and report discrepancies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or reach trucks is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks performed.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
