Boat Lift Installer / Marine Construction Labourer
Pacific Dock & Lift is looking for a reliable Boat Lift Installer to join our installation crew in Vernon, BC.
Pacific Dock & Lift is a dealer for Paradise hydraulic boat lifts. We install boat lifts, dock systems, and related marine equipment on lakes throughout the area.
This is an outdoor, hands-on position working from shore, docks, barges, and work boats. The right person will be comfortable working around water, tools, equipment, and changing weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Install and service hydraulic boat lifts and related dock equipment
- Work safely on a barge equipped with a crane
- Assist with loading, unloading, rigging, lifting, and positioning materials
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment
- Help with boat lift assembly, anchoring, adjustments, and final setup
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Follow instructions from the lead installer, crane operator, or supervisor
- Work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions
- Travel to lakefront job sites as required
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Physically able to lift, carry, pull, and work on your feet throughout the day
- Comfortable working on or near water
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
- Able to work longer days and overtime during the busy season
- Able to work as part of a crew and follow safe work procedures
- Previous construction, marine, equipment, dock, crane, rigging, or mechanical experience is an asset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Boating licence / Pleasure Craft Operator Card
- Class 3 or Class 1 driver’s licence
- Scuba experience
- Occupational diving certification or commercial diving experience
- Crane, rigging, marine construction, welding, hydraulics, or equipment operation experience
