About the role
Gamble Lock Door & Glass is seeking a reliable, professional, and personable Junior Office Furniture Lock Technician to join our growing service team.
This is an entry-level, client-facing role with a clear opportunity to develop technical skills in office furniture locking systems. The successful candidate will report to our Newmarket office each morning, receive scheduled work orders and materials, and travel to commercial client locations throughout Toronto and the GTA.
You will represent our company at corporate offices and other professional environments. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, communicates well, and maintains a professional appearance and presentation appropriate for corporate client sites.
This position is designed to grow over time. As training and experience progress, you will have the opportunity to learn office-furniture lock identification, basic troubleshooting, lock-core replacement, key cutting, and light repair work.
What you’ll do
- Report to our Newmarket office each day to receive assigned work orders, materials, and a planned route.
- Travel to commercial client locations throughout Toronto and the GTA.
- Complete scheduled customer visits in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
- Verify that supplied materials are correct and ensure they are delivered to the appropriate customer contact.
- Take clear photos and accurately document relevant material details using a company-provided device.
- Communicate job results, customer feedback, and any issues to the office promptly.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the service team so the appropriate technician can be scheduled.
- Keep customer materials organized, secure, and accounted for throughout the day.
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area.
- Follow company procedures relating to customer confidentiality, security, safe driving, and professional job-site conduct.

- A valid Ontario G driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving regularly throughout Toronto and the GTA.
- Able to work independently, manage a daily schedule, and communicate proactively with the office.
- Trustworthy and discreet when working around client property, sensitive areas, and security-related materials.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for navigation, communication, work orders, photos, and job updates.
- Mechanical aptitude or an interest in locks, hardware, repair work, hand tools, or field service.
- Previous experience in customer service, maintenance, trades, locksmithing, office furniture, or field service is an asset, but not required.
- Ability to complete client-required background or security screening, where applicable.

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
