We are seeking a dependable, experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our Tory's Landing Fractional Cottage Ownership property while leading a small maintenance team and ensuring an exceptional owner and guest experience.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, appearance, and safe operation of the Tory's Landing property. This position supervises maintenance staff, coordinates preventative maintenance programs, responds to owner and guest maintenance requests, and ensures the property is maintained in accordance with company standards, applicable legislation, and health and safety requirements.

QualificationsRequired
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in general property maintenance.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a driving record acceptable to the company's insurer.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Plumbing
- Electrical repairs
- Carpentry
- Painting
- Grounds maintenance
- Small engine repair
- General building maintenance
Preferred Assets
- Skilled Trades education or apprenticeship.
- Small Drinking Water Systems Operator Certification.
- Pool Operator Certification.
- WHMIS Certification.
- Working at Heights Training.
- Chainsaw Safety Training.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Experience supervising maintenance employees in a hospitality or resort environment.

Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for:
- Supervising and supporting the temporary grounds maintenance member in the summer
- Maintaining buildings, cottages, equipment, and infrastructure in safe operating condition.
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Coordinating repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building systems.
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests from owners and guests.
- Maintaining pools and recreational facilities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with drinking water and wastewater monitoring and documentation.
- Maintaining resort grounds including landscaping, docks, pathways, exterior lighting, gardens, and common areas.
- Monitoring maintenance inventory and ordering supplies within approved budgets.
- Obtaining quotations and coordinating contractors for larger repair projects.
- Monitoring maintenance expenditures and assisting with departmental budgeting.
- Conducting regular property inspections and identifying preventative maintenance opportunities.
- Ensuring maintenance work meets company quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and logs.
- Participating in emergency response procedures as required.
- Supporting maintenance requirements at other Bayview Wildwood Resort properties when operationally required.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
Employees are expected to:
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Ontario), applicable regulations, and company safety programs.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in required safety training including WHMIS and any position-specific certifications.
- Report hazards, incidents, and unsafe working conditions immediately.
- Safely handle chemicals, fuels, paints, solvents, and pool treatment products.
Physical Requirements

This role regularly requires the ability to:
- Lift and move materials weighing up to approximately 25 kg (55 lbs.).
- Perform repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Walk and stand for extended periods.
- Bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach.
- Work on ladders up to approximately 15 feet.
- Operate manual and powered tools safely.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals, fuels, paints, chlorine, and related products.
Working Conditions
This position requires work in both indoor and outdoor environments throughout all seasons. Employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety footwear and other PPE as required.

This position is part of a unionized workplace represented by Unifor Local 1411. Wages, hours of work, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are governed by the applicable Collective Agreement.
