We’re currently searching for a Part-Time Staff Cafeteria Cook 3 to join the 1 Hotel Toronto Culinary team. The Cook 3 is responsible for preparing and serving fresh, high-quality meals for our team members, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and efficient service standards.

General Duties
- Prepare and cook daily staff meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion standards.
- Complete daily mise en place and ensure ingredients are prepared and ready for service.
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold dishes, including soups, salads, sides, entrées, and vegetarian options.
- Maintain consistent quality, taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Properly handle, store, label, date, and rotate food products in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, temperatures, and quantities throughout service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and service area.
- Minimize food waste through proper preparation, storage, portioning, and utilization of ingredients.
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries as required.
- Replenish food items and maintain an organized and appealing cafeteria throughout service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health and safety, and hotel standards.
- Work collaboratively with the Culinary Team to ensure smooth and timely meal service.

About you...
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or high-volume food service environment.
- Experience preparing meals for large groups is an asset.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and food safety practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality and portioning.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Handler Certification is required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
