We are currently seeking a Parking Attendant to join our Downtown Toronto operations. As a Parking Attendant, you will play an important role in delivering a positive customer experience while supporting the daily operations of the parking facility. You will assist customers, process parking transactions, monitor parking activity, and help ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and operating efficiently.
What Would You Be Doing?
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- Process parking transactions accurately using cash, credit, debit, or other accepted payment methods.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information regarding parking rates, operating hours, facility procedures, and available services.
- Assist customers with the use of parking equipment, pay stations, and intercom systems, resolving minor technical issues whenever possible.
- Monitor parking areas to ensure efficient vehicle flow and parking space availability.
- Maintain accurate ticket inventory and complete required logs and operational records.
- Replenish ticket supplies and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure all parking signage is properly displayed and report damaged or missing signage.
- Keep booths, parking equipment, and surrounding work areas clean, organized, and presentable throughout each shift.
- Support supervisors and management with other operational duties as required.
What Are the Working Conditions?
- Fast-paced, customer-focused work environment.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational requirements.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and light lifting as part of daily duties.
What Are We Looking For?
- Minimum 1–2 years of customer service experience, preferably in parking, hospitality, retail, or another customer-facing environment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience handling cash and processing customer transactions is considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing transactions.
- Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered a strong asset.
- Results-oriented individual with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
