As we continue to grow, we're looking for Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our London team and support our people every step of the way.
Role Summary
Reporting into the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement, as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling and management of goods. It is a physically hands on role that involves standing, walking and lifting.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Shipping:
- Pack and prepare orders for outbound shipping, ensuring goods are securely and accurately packaged.
- Label all packages/skids in accordance with the courier/carrier and/or destination requirements.
- Communicate details internally and to freight or customs brokers as required.
Inbound Receiving:
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- Identify all items (specific order or shop stock) and label accordingly.
- Put all items away in designated locations.
- Occasionally material will need to be picked up using company vehicle.
Transfers:
- Handle the picking and packaging of goods required between locations, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Load all outgoing transfers and complete required paperwork.
- Unload all incoming transfers following the Inbound Receiving Process.
Order Picking and Assembly:
- Pick and stage shop orders in advance of the scheduled start date and communicate any potential issues.
- Open and inspect all picked product to ensure it is in correct working order.
- Assemble any items requiring assembly (ladder racks).
- Check with Shop Supervisor/Foreman about any additional components required.
Inventory:
- Perform regular (daily/weekly) cycle counts and follow reporting procedures.
- Perform and assist with physical inventory counts at scheduled points throughout the year.
- Ensure all materials are correctly labelled and stored in their designated location.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
Driver:
- Use company vehicle for material and supplies pick up and deliveries
Additional Duties:
- Maintain an organized, safe and clean workspace.
- Safely operate forklift, pallet jacks and company vehicles.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
- Facilities maintenance (change garbage, lights, monthly facility checklist)
Qualifications
- Previous experience with shipping, receiving and inventory control is an asset – Minimum 3 – 5years
- High School Diploma required; post-secondary education is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to individually lift and move up to 50lbs
- Ability to team lift and move up to 100lbs
- Valid G drivers license with clean drivers abstracts
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
