We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, permanent Coordinator, Retention & Recruitment to join our growing team!
Reporting to the Team Lead, Retention & Recruitment, this position is responsible for providing coordination, administration, and operational support of the retention and recruitment programs and activities exclusive to the SMA for their members. This position also provides timely administrative support to the Rural and Regional Practice Committee and Specialist Recruitment and Retention Committee.
This position is based on-site at our office in Saskatoon, SK, with a voluntary hybrid work option allowing remote work from home up to 2 out of 5 days per week subject to approval under our Hybrid Work Arrangement policy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinates and provides logistical and administrative support for multiple and varied recruitment and retention programs, events, and activities.
- Provide initial evaluation and initiate action on program applications and claims including approvals, tracking, and communication with stakeholders within defined parameters.
- Provide logistics planning and support for the Rural & Regional Practice Committee (RRP) and Specialist Recruitment and Retention Committee (SR&R) including agenda setting, tracking and posting supporting documents, prepare meeting minutes, and track action items.
- Build relationships and act as a trusted resource by fielding telephone calls, emails, and inquiries, and addressing and escalating concerns as needed.
- Participates in program development, policies, procedure formulation and program evaluation.
- Oversee locum physicians' schedules and ensure an effective matching process to meet the needs of both the host physician/clinic and locum physician in a timely manner.
- Audit locum invoices for accuracy and payment. Provide ongoing maintenance of the Rural Relief (Locum) Program accounts receivable.
- Prepare reports for Team Lead as needed.
- Effectively assists and provides cover-off services to other coordinators as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Retention & Recruitment or the Director, Membership, Insurance, and Programs.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma/certificate in a business administration related field/or equivalent education and experience.
- Three to five years’ experience in non-profit sector, healthcare, government, or professional association is preferred.
- Experience in event planning is considered an asset.
Salary:
$58,113 - $78,623 per annum commensurate with experience.
