We are seeking a talented and passionate Tattoo Artist to join our bright and fast-paced studio. As a Tattoo Artist, you will work closely with clients to create custom designs, provide consultations, and deliver exceptional tattoo experiences in a professional environment. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their tattoo ideas and provide expert design advice
- Prepare skin for tattooing by cleaning and sterilizing the area according to sanitation protocols
- Operate tattoo equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring precision and quality in every design
- Maintain a clean and sterile work environment in compliance with health regulations
- Educate clients on aftercare procedures to ensure proper healing of tattoos
- Manage appointment scheduling, client consultations and client deposits/payments
- Assist with retail sales of studio merchandise
- Provide guest services by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client inquiries or concerns
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years shop experience as a Tattoo Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styles. Attention to detail, artistic talent, and creativity are essential.
- Comfortable in a bright, fast-paced street shop environment and confident in accepting walk-in clients
- Must own, operate and maintain professional tattoo machines and equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols within the tattoo industry
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build rapport and ensure client satisfaction
- Ability to handle retail sales, upselling, and product demonstrations confidently
- Professional attitude with reliable work ethic and commitment to maintaining a hygienic environment
- Must have secure housing in the Sea to Sky corridor. No housing provided.
- Managerial experience an asset
- Proficancy in a second language, especially French and/or Spanish, an asset.
Pay: $23.00 per hour
