Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Record patient medical histories and update treatment plans in the dental software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the office.
Experience
Candidates should possess a background in dental assisting or related fields. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with:
- CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems for dental applications.
- Medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Orthodontics procedures and practices.
- Pediatrics experience in a dental setting.
- Proficiency in Abeldent software is an advantage but not required
- Experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous but not mandatory.
