Wentworth Landscapes & Construction Inc, a leader in landscape design and construction, is looking for a Hardscape Assistant Team Lead to join our growing team!
About the Role:
As the Hardscape Assistant Team Lead, you’ll work closely with the Team Lead to help execute residential and commercial hardscape projects with precision, efficiency, and attention to detail. You’ll support in guiding a small team on-site, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety while mentoring crew members and maintaining production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading the daily execution of hardscape installations including patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, driveways, and more
- Interpret landscape designs and ensure accurate layout and installation
- Operate skid steers, excavators, compactors, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain quality control and ensure work meets company and industry standards
- Support team morale and mentor junior crew members
- Promote and uphold a safe and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with Team Lead, project managers, and clients as required
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in landscape construction or hardscaping
- Proven skills in stone, interlock, concrete, or retaining wall installation
- Ability to operate machinery and tools related to landscape construction
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- A valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks
- Leadership potential and desire to grow within the company
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
