Job Summary
We are currently seeking skilled and reliable Welders with proven tank fabrication experience to join our team. The successful candidate will perform high-quality hand welding in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, perform precise welds, and work efficiently in a field environment. Fitting experience is a major asset, as candidates may be required to assist with fit-up and alignment of structural and tank components.
We offer competitive wages of $40.00 – $50.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes
- Perform hand welding using manual or semi-automatic equipment (no rig welding)
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
- Determine weldability of materials
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and specifications
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
- Able to work overtime when applicable to meet deadlines
Credentials
- Journeyman welder ticket is an asset
- Minimum 2nd year apprentice (required)
- Tank fabrication experience is an asset
- Additional safety tickets is an asset (confined space, Fall arrest, CSTS, etc).
- sub arc operating experience is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
