Dishwasher & Kitchen Prep Assistant
J&F Distributors is looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher & Kitchen Prep Assistant to join our commissary kitchen team.
This role supports the daily operations of our production kitchen by ensuring dishes, equipment, and workspaces remain clean and sanitized while also assisting with basic food preparation tasks. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Working under the direction of the Commissary Manager, this position plays an important role in helping the kitchen operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing and kitchen areas
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Support production staff with prep tasks as required
- Ensure cleaning and sanitation standards are consistently maintained
- Remove garbage and recycling and assist with general kitchen cleaning
- Follow food safety procedures and workplace safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with the commissary team to support daily production needs
- Relief In-town deliveries
Qualifications & Skills

- Class 5 Drivers License
Assets
- Previous dishwashing, kitchen, or food service experience
- Food Safe Certification
No previous experience is required — training will be provided.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent lifting of kitchen items and supplies
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 40–50 lbs
Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
