We are a catering company specializing in southern-style BBQ. Our services include operating a food truck on the streets, running a food delivery service through platforms like Uber Eats and DoorDash, and catering private events, weddings, and movie sets.
Position: Cook / Catering Assistant
We’re looking for someone passionate about the food industry, ideally with dreams of starting their own restaurant or food business. This role offers hands-on experience in various aspects of the industry. It’s not suited for those seeking repetitive tasks or part-time student work. A valid Canadian driver’s license or a valid international driver's license is required.
Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Prep food for catering (BBQ, Western, corporate, cafeteria)
- Drive to catering sites
- Serve guests at events (food truck, weddings, private/corporate)
- Sell food from the food truck
- Work the counter at our store (take/make/serve orders)
- Help with meat smoking
- Help with purchasing
- Clean up
Requirements:
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Ability to lift loads to 15 kg (33 lbs)
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in the food industry
Qualifications:
- Flexibility with the work schedule
- Excellent culinary and time management skills
- Effective communication skills with team members
Assets (Not a Requirement):
- Professional cooking experience
- Food Safe (Level 1) certification
- Serve It Right certification
