Job Description: GUNDRILL OPERATOR - WEEKEND SHIFT (Fri, Sat and Sun or Sat, Sun and Mon - 12Hr Shifts)
Reports To: Machining Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pay close attention to health and safety requirements.
- Import, manipulate, and process 3D models.
- Using provided tools and machinery, setup and operate Gundrill using Lemoine software.
- Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments, probe to ensure quality.
- Assist in the repair of machine tools and parts, as needed;
- Complete checklists and report deviations from specified tolerances;
- Responsible for maintaining safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Responsible for maintaining the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, ect;
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs.
- Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.
Job Specifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two (2) years of related experience operating a Gundrill;
- Two (2) years’ experience programming Gundrill machines (Lemoine software is preferred)
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
