Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Gas Technician Instructor to join our GT3 and GT2 courses preferably evening. This role involves comprehensive instruction to aspiring gas technicians both in-person and online ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and safety knowledge to excel in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC industry, excellent communication skills, and prior classroom experience, if any. This position offers an opportunity to shape the next generation of skilled professionals through engaging and effective teaching.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver instructional content related to gas technology, safety procedures, and industry standards
- Conduct classroom lectures in-person and online, hands-on training sessions, and practical demonstrations for students
- Assess student performance through evaluations, quizzes, and practical assessments
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment that complies with all safety regulations
- Stay current with industry advancements and incorporate new techniques into training modules
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students throughout their learning journey
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to continuously improve curriculum quality and training effectiveness
Requirements
- Must hold a current Certificate of Qualification or equivalent.
- Must hold G2 license and 313D is preferred
- Candidates should also have a sound knowledge of safety practices, industry standards.
- Candidates should have strong hands-on skills in the core subject area.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
- Computer skills an asset
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
