We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our inter disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide one on one therapy support to children of different ages. The setting is IN THE COMMUNITY. Mainly the clients homes in the SCARBOROUGH area. Mandatory experience in the field of Occupational Therapy and experience working with children is required. Candidates MUST have access to a vehicle

Duties
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for children of all ages .
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately using electronic health records
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care and provide education on therapy exercises and home programs.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, treatment outcomes, and clinical observations with attention to medical terminology and organizational skills.
- Discuss patient progress, treatment adjustments, and documentation updates.
Requirements
- Previous OT paediatric care experience is a MUST
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain treatment plans clearly to patients and families.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating time management and analysis skills necessary for optimal patient care delivery.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
