Occupational Health Nurse
Impact Occupational Health Solutions provides professional health services to industry. Our client, specializing in manufacturing, has two exciting opportunities for you to utilize your nursing skills and knowledge in a comprehensive occupational health setting.
The Occupational Health Nurse demonstrates leadership in the provision of comprehensive nursing care that includes: urgent care; disability management; pre-placement and periodic health assessments; health education; fitness to work evaluation, and ergonomic assessments.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Utilize professional knowledge and judgement in the assessment, treatment and care plan development for all occupational injuries and illness
- Incorporates health promotion and wellness education within nurse-patient interactions
- Conduct fitness for work assessments including: vision, testing, audiometry, spirometry, hearing protection and respirator fit testing
- Consult with Occupational Physician to provide comprehensive client care
- Apply nursing theory to develop and oversee return-to-work plans in collaboration with multiple stakeholders in a unionized setting
- Administer and maintain the policies of the Occupational Health Service.
Education & Experience
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing currently registered with CRNA
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Occupational Health, Emergency or Acute Care
- Occupational Health Nursing Certification would be an asset
- Current BCLS and ITLS-Advanced/Advanced First Aid Certificate, or willing to obtain
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Sharepoint and Cority is an asset
