Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Handyman / Maintenance Technician to assist with general maintenance, renovation support, and day-to-day service tasks across multiple job sites.
The ideal candidate has at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential and/or commercial repair and renovations, can work independently, and takes pride in delivering clean, efficient, and high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair work, including basic plumbing, drywall, electrical, carpentry, painting, flooring, and exterior work.
- Handle small renovation and repair projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Complete service calls and punch-list items for residential and commercial properties.
- Inspect job sites and report any issues, safety hazards, or additional repair needs to management.
- Maintain a professional appearance and ensure clients receive respectful, courteous service.
- Manage tools, materials, and vehicle inventory effectively and safely.
- Collaborate with other Riteway team members and subcontractors when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in general construction, handyman, or maintenance roles.
- Valid G-class driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel between job sites.
- Own basic hand and power tools required for the trade.
- Ability to read drawings, follow scope lists, and problem-solve independently.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and best practices.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and able to represent Riteway Construction professionally on all job sites.
