Adams Steel Fabricators is looking for a reliable, motivated, and hard-working individual to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in metal fabrication. We’re looking for an individual who is knowledgeable in the industry and can provide exceptional customer service to our customers.
Job Description:
- Producing customer part drawings in both 2D and 3D utilizing advanced CAD software to create detailed representations of components that meet specific design requirements
- Nest files and drawings provided by the customer in our CAD/CAM software for laser, plasma, and waterjet cutting operations
- Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships
- Understand plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and processes required to ensure compliance with order requirements
- Set realistic deadlines for the completion of jobs
- Use email, phone, and other forms of communication well to professionally assist our customers
- Proven ability to develop and maintain detailed cost estimates
- Produce quotes in our quoting software for customers
- Work closely with Shop and Production co-ordinator to ensure timely execution on all orders
- Managing project schedule, budgets and resources from start to finish
- Maintaining accurate project documentation
- Related tasks and projects as required
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software (Draftsight, Solidworks, Pronest) – 2D and 3D
- Candidates must possess CET or Engineering Technician qualifications or equivalent experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in technical principles and practices
- Estimating and quoting experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize a busy workload
- Proficient computer skills
- Experience with sales and purchasing
- Experience in the metal fabrication industry
- Experience in project management
