Aquastar Swim Lessons Ltd. needs a certified waterfront lifeguard in Calgary for a confirmed open water event on July 19, 2026. This is an urgent dispatch. We need someone confirmed no later than July 17.
This is an independent contractor engagement through the Aquastar platform.

The Dispatch
Location: Calgary, AB
Event date: July 19, 2026
Duration: 2 hours
Environment: Open water, lake, or beach
Contractors needed: 1 (additional Calgary waterfront events are coming)
What You Will Do
- Provide lifeguard coverage at an open water site in Calgary
- Monitor swimmers and enforce water safety rules and emergency protocols
- Conduct a pre-shift safety inspection of the site and surrounding area
- Administer first aid and CPR if needed and coordinate emergency response
- Communicate directly with the client or event organizer on-site
- Maintain accurate logs of attendance, incidents, and safety checks
Required Qualifications
- Valid NLS Waterfront certification
- CPR-C and Standard First Aid, current
- Reliable transportation to the event site in Calgary
- Strong communication and professional client-facing skills
Pay and Terms
- $45 to $60 per hour
- Independent contractor arrangement
- Single-event dispatch with additional Calgary waterfront opportunities available
- Travel compensation available for qualifying distances
