Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our team and contribute to various building and renovation projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring project progress. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, eager to learn, and possess a strong work ethic. Prior construction experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided for specific tasks. This position involves hands-on work with a variety of tools and materials, playing a vital role in the successful completion of construction projects.
Duties
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring safety and organization
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws to support carpentry, framing, and other tasks
- Support skilled tradespeople in tasks including plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and restoration projects
- Perform caulking, painting, and other finishing tasks as directed
- Help with the installation of flooring, tiles, or other materials according to project specifications
- assist with material handling throughout the site
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure working environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is highly desirable but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to work effectively with hand tools and basic construction equipment
- Knowledge of or interest in carpentry or restoration work is a plus
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
- Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset and eagerness to develop new skills in the construction industry
Pay: $18.00 per hour
