Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumber/gas fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems as well as heating and cooling systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and the use of various hand and power tools. The Plumber/gas fitter will ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes, providing reliable plumbing solutions to our clients. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing/heating systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan work effectively
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to complete plumbing tasks efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure project progress
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues before they become major problems
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate work efforts
- Ensure all work meets local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Assist in assembly of plumbing components and related systems as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing/heating installation, repair, or maintenance in commercial or industrial settings
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in carpentry, HVAC systems, welding, and schematics reading preferred
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic math for precise measurements and calculations
- Experience with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on construction sites for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving is a plus but not mandatory
- Prior experience working with construction teams or on large-scale projects is advantageous
