About Better Bovine
We make premium beef jerky and beef sticks from simple, high-quality ingredients - no additives, no preservatives, just real food. We're already in 1,500+ retail locations and expanding rapidly across North America through retail and e-commerce. Our mission is simple: raise the standard for meat snacks by proving that better products start with better ingredients.
About the Role
We're hiring our first Marketing Manager to help accelerate growth.
Working together with the founders, you'll start by managing the things that put us in front of customers: trade shows and sampling events, a growing brand ambassador team, and content creator collaborations. As we grow, so does the role, and you'll have a real say in where it goes, from marketing campaigns and email tactics to partnerships and new channels.
There aren't many roles where you can dream up an idea on Monday and watch it play out in the real world by Friday. This is one of them. If that's the kind of impact you want, this role is for you.
Your First Six Months
- Events & Activations: Plan and run trade shows (think CHFA, Expo West) and sampling events, from logistics, inventory, and staffing to on-site execution and performance tracking.
- Grow the Brand Ambassador Team: Your first big project. Recruit, train, and scale a team of brand ambassadors to represent Better Bovine at events and activations across North America.
- Creators & Social: Build a pipeline of creators through inbound interest and proactive outreach, and help get great content made for social.
Where It Goes From There
We're a startup, so this role keeps growing as you find your footing. Over time, that can include:
- Partnering with the founders to shape the marketing and growth strategy as it evolves.
- Owning areas like end-to-end marketing campaigns, email, product launches, and partnerships.
- Exploring new ideas you're most excited about, proving them out, and scaling the ones that work.
What We're Looking For
The person who thrives here is resourceful and relentless. You always ask yourself if there's a faster, cheaper, better way to do something, and you prefer trying and rapidly iterating, then scaling what works.
- 2-5 years in marketing, events, partnerships, or growth. CPG experience is an asset.
- Able to travel periodically for events and trade shows (roughly 10-20% of the time).
- Legally eligible to work in Canada; remote, Greater Toronto Area preferred.
