Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting flowers and plants to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s license, familiarity with commercial driving in the area, and a clean drivers abstract. Preference given to those with past delivery experience. Looking for someone with a positive attitude who follows instructions well!
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload sometimes heavy arrangements, must be able to lift.
- Deliver goods to customers at specified locations within designated timeframes
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience delivery driving and/or familiarity with the roads in Kelowna, Lake Country, West Kelowna, and Peachland
- Knowledge of automotive repair or basic vehicle maintenance is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks associated with product handling
- Prior experience in delivery services or logistics is preferred but not mandatory
