TITLE: Shipping & Receiving REVISION DATE: July 14, 2026
REPORTS TO: Production Manager DEPT: Shop Operations
OVERVIEW: The primary role of Shipping & Receiving is to manage all aspects of the shipping and receiving process, ensuring the accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing shipments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Report to work on time daily with a positive attitude and optimistic outlook.
· Comply with all company rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
· Wear and respect the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and company issued uniforms at all times when on company grounds (yard and shop).
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
· Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
· Unload trucks and containers, ensuring all items are properly accounted for.
· Document and report any discrepancies or damaged items.
· Organized and store received items in designated warehouse locations.
· Prepare and process outgoing shipments according to customer orders and company standards.
· Paint products if required.
· Maintain Inventory of Shipping & Receiving consumables.
· Package and label items accurately, ensuring secure and efficient delivery.
· Perform PDI’s.
· Travel to vendors to drop off and pick up products.
· Communicate safety concerns to shop management.
· Communicate ideas for safety and process improvements to shop management.
· All other tasks as assigned by the Shop Lead Hand and Production Manager.
