The Coordinator, Social Media supports the growth and storytelling of Love & Help Heal’s digital presence across platforms, with a primary focus on Instagram and LinkedIn. This role focuses on creating engaging visual and written content that highlights youth initiatives, community events, and the impact of our work. Our communications and media team helps amplify the work led by our programs team, sharing stories from youth initiatives, community gatherings, retreats, and creative projects. The Coordinator, Social Media plays an important role in translating this work into compelling content that helps grow our online community and reach new audiences.
This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, digital storytelling, and social media strategy while contributing to youth-led initiatives and social impact campaigns.
Focus: Social media content creation, storytelling, audience growth, and digital marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Create engaging social media content for Instagram and LinkedIn, including posts, captions, stories, and reels
- Support the development and scheduling of social media content aligned with organizational priorities and campaigns
- Assist with highlighting youth initiatives, programs, and community events through digital storytelling
- Connect with external organizations (including youth-led) to facilitate collaborations
- Manage and execute the weekly Youth Opportunities posts for the community
- Collaborate with team members to gather content, updates, and stories from programs and initiatives
- Work closely with Director, Marketing to review and plan content for the coming month
- Support audience engagement by responding to comments, messages, and community interactions when needed
- Monitor content performance and provide insights to help improve reach and engagement
- Maintain brand consistency in tone, messaging, and visuals across social platforms
Requirements:
- Experience creating content for social media platforms, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn
- Strong storytelling and writing skills for captions and short-form digital content
- Basic knowledge of social media growth strategies and engagement practices
- Familiarity with design or editing tools, video editing, or similar platforms
- Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and team members
- Interest in youth leadership, community initiatives, and social impact storytelling
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced volunteer environment
- Experience with or willingness to learn DaVinci Resolve is a strong asset
The Coordinator, Graphic Design will spearhead the creation of infographics and image-based marketing materials for Love & Help Heal, with a primary focus on Instagram and LinkedIn. This role focuses on utilizing Canva to design graphics that highlight Love & Help Heal’s programming, youth initiatives, and community events. Brand kits and logos will be used to establish continuity amongst all graphics that are produced on behalf of the organization. Our communications and media team helps amplify the work led by our programs team, sharing stories from youth initiatives, community gatherings, retreats, and creative projects. The Coordinator, Graphic Design plays an important role in translating this work into compelling content that helps grow our online community and reach new audiences.

- Organize and manage design files, assets, templates, and brand resources
- Stay updated on current design trends, platform formats, and visual communication strategies
Requirements:
- Experience creating graphics for social media, events, campaigns, or promotional materials
- Strong understanding of visual design principles, including layout, typography, colour, spacing, and branding
- Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and team members
- Interest in youth leadership, community initiatives, and social impact storytelling
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced volunteer environment
- Stay updated on current social media trends across Instagram and LinkedIn
- Proficiency in Canva is mandatory
The Coordinator Videography supports Love & Help Heal's digital storytelling by capturing and producing high-quality video content that showcases youth initiatives, community events, and the impact of our work. This role focuses on filming, editing, and producing video content for use across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms. Our communications and media team helps amplify the work led by our programs team, sharing stories from youth initiatives, community gatherings, retreats, and creative projects. The Coordinator, Videographer plays an important role in bringing this work to life visually, helping grow our online community and reach new audiences through compelling video storytelling.
This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, video production, and digital storytelling while contributing to youth-led initiatives and social impact campaigns.
Focus: Video content creation, filming, and editing for social media and organizational storytelling.
Responsibilities:
- Film and produce engaging video content for Instagram and LinkedIn, including reels, event highlights, and short-form stories
- Support the development of video content aligned with organizational priorities and campaigns
- Capture footage at in-person events, retreats, and community gatherings, including youth initiatives and programs
- Edit and produce polished videos using in-house software, ensuring content is ready for social media publishing
- Collaborate with team members to gather footage, updates, and stories from programs and initiatives
- Work closely with the Director, Marketing to review and plan video content for the coming month
- Maintain brand consistency in tone, visuals, and quality across all video content
- Organize and manage video files and assets for easy access and future use
- Support the Social Media team by providing raw and edited footage for scheduling and posting
- Stay current on video trends and formats relevant to Instagram and LinkedIn to help improve reach and engagement
Requirements:
- Experience filming and editing video content, particularly for social media platforms
- Strong understanding of short-form video storytelling (reels, highlights, event recaps)
- Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar)
- Basic knowledge of filming techniques, lighting, and audio for in-person events
- Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and team members
- Comfortable attending in-person events to capture footage as needed
- Interest in youth leadership, community initiatives, and social impact storytelling
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced volunteer environment
The Coordinator, Outreach supports the development and management of Love & Help Heal’s broader communications systems, including website content, newsletters, blog features, and digital communications. This role focuses on maintaining consistent messaging across platforms and ensuring that updates, stories, and opportunities from the organization are effectively shared with our community. Our communications team works closely with the programs team to share the stories, insights, and outcomes from youth initiatives, community gatherings, and creative projects. The Coordinator, Communications helps ensure these stories are communicated clearly across multiple channels.
This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit communications strategy, digital publishing, and community engagement.
Focus: Organizational communications, digital publishing, and content coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and management of website content and updates
- Assist with the creation and distribution of newsletters and email communications
- Coordinate and publish blog posts, stories, and updates from programs and initiatives
- Maintain consistent messaging across communications channels and platforms
- Collaborate with program and Marketing team members to gather updates, stories, and resources
- Support communications planning for major initiatives, campaigns, and events
- Assist with documenting organizational updates, announcements, and opportunities for the community
- Help maintain communications systems and processes to ensure information is organized and accessible
Requirements:
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to clarity and tone
- Experience with digital communications tools such as email newsletter platforms or website editors (Squarespace)
- Ability to organize and manage multiple communications projects and deadlines
- Interest in storytelling, community engagement, and nonprofit communicationsStrong collaboration skills and ability to work with volunteers and team members across different initiatives
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to maintain consistency across platforms
