Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for local and long-distance freight transportation
- Load, unload, and secure freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, shipments, and vehicle logs
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting, including minor automotive repairs when needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Assist with heavy equipment operation as required for loading or unloading freight
Skills
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving operations
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
