Location: Rural area outside Fort McMurray, Alberta
Wage: $20-$23 per hour, plus vacation pay and overtime as applicable under Alberta employment standards.
Hours: 30–40+ hours per week (schedule varies due to employer shift work). Full-time, permanent position.
About the position:
We are a busy family seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced nanny to become an important part of our household. This is a long-term position caring for our two daughters while the parents work rotating shift schedules. We live in a rural location approximately 15 minutes outside of Fort McMurray. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's licence are essential, as there is no public transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care and supervision for two children.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks.
- Assist with morning and after-school routines.
- Drive children to and from school, sports, and extracurricular activities.
- Plan age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
- Assist with bathing and dressing as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive home environment.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the children's care, including laundry, tidying play areas, and meal clean-up.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (Secondary School completion).
- Previous childcare experience is required.
- Valid driver's licence and safe driving record.
- Comfortable driving in Alberta winter conditions.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
- Willing to obtain a criminal record check.
- English language proficiency.
- Responsible, reliable, patient, and organized.
