Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Front of House/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant food service environment, supporting both front-of-house operations, customer service and kitchen activities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist with food preparation, including meal assembly and basic cooking tasks
- Handle food safely, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and food prep stations
- Support the kitchen team with food handling, plating, and restocking supplies as needed
- Ensure proper food storage and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Manage order-taking and serve food efficiently during busy periods
- Assist with setup and cleanup before and after shifts to uphold hygiene standards
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations is advantageous
- Familiarity with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and general kitchen operations is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and service
