Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a machinery and worktools organization in Calgary, Alberta on a contract basis. This role supports high-volume accounts payable operations, with a focus on invoice matching, purchase order verification, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate payment documentation.
Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of invoices by reviewing submissions from the accounts payable inbox.
Match invoices to purchase orders and verify coding, pricing, and supporting documentation.
Investigate invoice discrepancies and confirm the correct supporting records.
Cross-reference invoice information with purchase order systems before processing.
Prepare invoice documentation for entry into the accounting system.
Assist with remittance processing and credit card transaction verification.
Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely invoice processing and status updates.
Requirements:
2+ years of accounts payable experience, including invoice review, coding, and high-volume processing.
Experience with vendor reconciliations and resolving invoice discrepancies.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems quickly; Dext experience is an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, and basic Excel.
Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Organized, dependable, and able to manage changing priorities effectively.
