Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistant to support two toddlers, in providing a nurturing and engaging environment for both children in their own home. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood development and eager to gain hands-on experience in private home settings. The assistant will work closely with the parents of both children to facilitate learning activities, promote social-emotional growth, and ensure their safety and well-being
Duties
- Assist parents in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Support with meals (typically breakfast, snacks and lunch)
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe main area where care will be provided to both children.
- Provide individual attention to children, ensuring that naps are taken daily.
- Support positive behavior management strategies and reinforce household rules.
- Communicate effectively with parents to support ongoing learning and development of both children.
- Assist with meal times, diaper changes, potty breaks, and other daily routines as needed.
- Observe and document children's progress to inform instructional planning and parent communication.
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children is preferred but not required; relevant volunteer or internship experience is valuable.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is a plus.
- Experience working with children under 4 years old.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and parents.
- Familiarity with basic math concepts suitable for early childhood education settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an environment dedicated to supporting children's growth and learning.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
