Job Title: Project Controls Coordinator I

Schedule: Hybrid – Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in office; Wednesday and Friday work from home
Our client is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator I to support project management teams through cost control, procurement coordination, requisition management, and invoice processing activities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience supporting engineering and construction capital projects who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
What's the Job?
- Provide advanced cost control support to assigned project management teams.
- Collaborate with Project Controls Advisors, Execution teams, and Engineering leads to initiate purchase orders and change orders.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the requisition lifecycle by gathering information from multiple data sources.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for creating and maintaining requisitions within the Oracle Financial system.
- Monitor requisitions, purchase orders, and change orders, providing updates and insights to stakeholders.
- Analyze and report on project data using Oracle Financials, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Excel.
- Support contract revisions, purchase order updates, and change order processes when funding adjustments are required.
- Partner with Supply Chain Management, Accounts Payable, and project teams to facilitate service receipts and validate invoices.
- Help improve invoice management processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline; or a combination of post-secondary education and relevant industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting purchase orders for engineering and construction capital projects.
- Familiarity with project cost control principles and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Oracle Cloud.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret project and financial data.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
