Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hairstylist/Barber to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hair styling and customer service, creating a welcoming environment for clients. This role involves providing professional haircuts, styling, and grooming services while ensuring client satisfaction. The successful applicant will also engage in retail sales and maintain high standards of sanitation and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a variety of hair services including cuts, styling, coloring, and grooming to meet client preferences and needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening carefully to clients’ requests and offering expert advice.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas, tools, and equipment in accordance with health regulations.
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and treatments to enhance client experience and salon revenue.
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and product knowledge through ongoing education.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse clients.
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, styling, and grooming.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Ability to upsell retail products tactfully to increase sales while enhancing the client experience.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members alike.
- Experience with retail sales procedures and front desk operations is preferred.
