Overview
Tandem Behavior Consulting Inc. provides multidisciplinary pediatric services to families with children between 2 - 16 years of age in Calgary and surrounding areas. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team as an Independent Contractor. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to improve the learners' functional abilities. This position offers flexible scheduling with a minimum number of at least 8 to 35 hours per week of direct and indirect time.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Registered member in good standing with the ACOT.
- Knowledge of case management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Criminal record check (including vulnerable sector search); must be current within the past 6 months
Requirements
- Experience in case management and coordinating care across multiple disciplines (BCBA, SLP, PT, Aides).
- Pediatric experience is highly desirable for working with children requiring specialized therapy.
- Excellent client care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
- Effective communication skills for educating patients, families, and healthcare staff about treatment plans and progress.
Pay: $60.00-$90.00 per hour
