Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic / Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles with a focus on quality service and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, experience with automotive repair, and proficiency with hand tools and power tools. Previous experience is a plus, along with the ability to interpret schematics and perform complex repairs. Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using various tools and equipment
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs
- Complete vehicle inspections to identify potential problems before they become major issues
- Assist in vehicle assembly and component replacement as needed
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs and maintenance recommendations clearly
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician; experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required for parts handling and repairs
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and assembly processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for effective customer interactions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred
