We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join our team in Brampton. This role involves managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, virtualization environments, and database systems. Duties
- Manage and maintain cloud services on AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V to optimize virtual environments.
- Develop, test, and deploy applications using JavaScript, Java, Python, Bash scripting, and Shell scripting.
- Configure and troubleshoot network services including DNS, VPNs, and TCP/IP protocols to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Manage databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Implement RESTful APIs for integration between systems and services.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to operating systems (Windows/Linux) and network infrastructure.
- Utilize DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions aligned with organizational needs.
Experience
- Proven experience working with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS.
- Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies (ESXi) and hypervisor management.
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and NoSQL solutions.
- Familiarity with operating systems including Windows Server and various Linux distributions.
- Solid understanding of computer networking concepts such as DNS management, VPN setup, TCP/IP protocols.
- Experience developing or managing REST APIs and integrating diverse systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Experience with DevOps tools including Git version control systems and Jenkins pipelines.
