Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing as needed
- Ensure all food is prepared fresh, safely, and efficiently for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Follow food safety protocols and handle food with care to prevent contamination
- Support the team during busy service hours by managing multiple orders simultaneously
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Assist with catering events and special meal preparations when required
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to uphold a positive work environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or culinary roles required
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and fine dining standards is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed
- Culinary or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not mandatory
