AUTOCITY SALES is a family-owned and operated dealer group that has proudly served communities across Ontario for over 30 years. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Controller to join our team at our new location!
This role is responsible for overseeing the dealership's accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining compliance with manufacturer accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the dealership.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable collections.
- Prepare and process payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Manage dealership cash flow and banking activities.
- Work closely with department managers to resolve accounting issues and improve workflow processes.
- Ensure all vehicle deals are posted accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare year-end working papers and audit packages.
- Maintain compliance with manufacturer accounting policies and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of automotive dealership accounting experience.
- Previous Controller or dealership accounting experience is a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of dealership financial reporting and internal controls.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all departments.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is preferred.
Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
