Journeyman Mason – Brick, Repointing & Restoration | Calgary
Versatile Rope Services (VRS) is a Calgary-based rope access and building restoration company. No scaffolding, no swing stage — we work at height using IRATA-certified rope access to do the masonry work that other companies won't touch.
We're looking for a skilled mason with hands-on experience in brick replacement, repointing, and concrete repair on commercial and residential buildings.
What you'll be doing:
- Brick replacement and repointing on high-rise and mid-rise facades
- Concrete spall repair and patching
- Caulking and sealant work
- Working at height via rope access (training provided if not already certified)
What we're looking for:
- Journeyman Bricklayer Certificate (Alberta) — or equivalent experience
- Strong background in restoration masonry (repointing, brick replacement, concrete repair)
- Detail-oriented — our work is visible and permanent
- Comfortable with heights — rope access experience is a strong asset
- Reliable, self-managed, and easy to work with on a small crew
Rope access: Rope access certification an asset. If you're not IRATA or SPRAT-certified, we're open to discussing a training arrangement. We work at height on every job — this is a real skill upgrade for the right candidate.
Compensation: $34–$52/hr depending on experience
