We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter who is highly skilled in all aspects of rough and finish carpentry. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, lead a small crew, and deliver work to the highest standards on both heritage restoration and modern construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Perform precise layout work and interpret drawings/specifications accurately
- Execute all phases of rough carpentry, including framing, structural assembly, and installation of joists, beams, and sheathing
- Perform finish carpentry tasks such as installation interior and exterior trim, wood restoration and finishing, Door hanging and hardware installation, window trim and sill installation
- Lead and mentor a small crew, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Maintain quality control, site organization, and communication with project management
- Travel to multiple sites within the GTA, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Hamilton areas
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of proven carpentry experience in both rough and finish work
- Strong knowledge of layout techniques, measurement, and structural carpentry practices
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to the trade
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Own reliable vehicle and basic set of tools
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work at heights and in varied site conditions
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
