Grocery Store Cashier / Produce Packing Associate
Location: Grocery Store
Job Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
* Operate the cash register accurately and process cash, debit, credit card, and other payments.
* Have a good understanding of Canadian currency and be able to count change correctly.
* Greet customers, answer questions, and assist them with their purchases.
* Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
* Pack fruits and vegetables neatly according to store standards.
* Refill and organize produce displays, ensuring products are fresh and well presented.
* Check the quality of produce and remove damaged or expired items.
* Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory as required.
* Keep the produce department clean and follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
* Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Follow all store policies and safety procedures.
* Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
Job Requirements
* Good English communication skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Knowledge of Canadian money and the ability to handle cash accurately.
* Previous Canadian retail or grocery store experience is preferred.
* Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
