Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of metal parts.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join metal components securely, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Use plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication machinery to shape, cut, bend, and assemble materials.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices; perform basic math calculations for dimensions and tolerances.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment safely to move heavy materials or assemblies within the workspace.
- Fabricate structural components for construction or manufacturing projects following schematics and technical specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; inspect completed work for quality assurance before final assembly or shipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG), fabrication, or related manufacturing roles; construction experience is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools such as press brakes, plasma cutters, calipers, hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques, crane operation, forklift certification preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and practices; ability to work safely with welding equipment and heavy machinery.
- Excellent manual dexterity combined with problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
