Part-Time Kitchen Helper – Friday & Saturday Nights

We are looking for a reliable and energetic Part-Time Kitchen Helper to join our kitchen team on Friday and Saturday nights.
Tropical is a busy Latin restaurant and nightlife venue, so this position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen during high-volume service and is available to work late nights.
Responsibilities
- Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation, portioning and assembling ingredients
- Support cooks during busy dinner and late-night service
- Prepare and restock stations before and during service
- Assist with plating and organizing food orders when needed
- Wash dishes, kitchen utensils, pots and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift
- Clean and sanitize workstations, floors and kitchen equipment
- Take out garbage, recycling and complete closing cleaning duties
- Properly store food and supplies at the end of the night
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Help the kitchen team wherever needed during busy service
Requirements
- Available Friday and Saturday evenings until late night
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when required
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
- Basic understanding of food safety and kitchen cleanliness is an asset

Part-Time – Weekends Only
Friday & Saturday evenings / late nights

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
