We Play Kids is a pediatric therapy centre with an inter-disciplinary team of pediatric Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. We Play Kids is looking for another Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our inter-disciplinary team of OTs, PT's and SLP's. We have a varied caseload and provide services to infants, toddlers, pre-school and school-age children.
Responsibilities and Duties
- To work collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team
- Assess strengths and needs of children through formal and informal evaluation
- Work with the client and family to assess strengths and needs, to develop individualized therapy goals for each child
- Utilize research-based practice
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with the child and family, as well as the inter-disciplinary team
- Excellent report writing skills
- A passion for working with children with developmental and communication needs
Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from accredited University
- Experience working in pediatrics as a SLP for 2 or more years, though will accept new graduate applications
- RASP list qualification
- Member of CHCPBC
- Professional liability insurance
