Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar and Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our vibrant establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the food and beverage industry, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing restaurant functions, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for all guests. Previous hospitality or hotel management experience is highly valued, along with a solid background in food preparation, food safety, and restaurant management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen personnel to ensure efficient service delivery
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to maintain high standards of quality and safety
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
- Handle cash handling, POS transactions (including Micros POS), and other financial responsibilities accurately
- Interview and train new team members to build a skilled and motivated workforce
- Monitor customer service levels to guarantee guest satisfaction and address any issues promptly
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food presentation, menu offerings, and inventory management
- Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes hospitality and excellent service standards
- Develop staff schedules, assign duties, and supervise team performance to optimize productivity
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervising food service operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Familiarity with food industry standards including food handling, serving, and kitchen operations
- Ability to manage cash handling processes accurately
- Effective communication skills for interviewing staff and coordinating team efforts
- Previous hotel or barista experience is considered a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to oversee restaurant operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
