- excellent knowledge of trucks / trailers, hydraulics, electrical, engine, trans and other systems and their components.
- demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.
- proven experience as a mechanic
- Perform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop and road calls when required
- valid CVI ticket ( is preferred but not required )
- ability to follow established procedures and practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$106,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Nanaimo, BC V9S 4M7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- heavy duty mechanic: 3 years (required)
