The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is a key player in public safety. We are responsible for the supervision and reintegration of offenders serving sentences of two years or more. On a typical day, we manage approximately 15,000 offenders placed within our 43 institutions and more than 8,500 offenders under supervision in the community.

Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to staff positions with bilingual imperative CCC/CCC, CBC/CBC OR BBB/BBB language requirements, in the Atlantic Region.
A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions with various tenures (such as indeterminate, term, casual) and with those linguistic requirements.

When you to this selection process, you are not ing for a specific job, but to an inventory for future vacancies. As positions become available, applicants who meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.

If you participate in to our various SW-SCW-02 selection processes posted in different regions, note that you may be assessed once and your assessment results may as part of all these selection processes. The waiting period for reassessment is 180 calendar days from your last assessment.

An Interview may be conducted.
You must provide proof of education credentials.
Persons are entitled to participate in the appointment process in the official language of their choice.
Candidates must meet all essential qualifications to be appointed to a position. This will be determined through the use of various evaluation tools.
Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.
Indeterminate employees at the same group and level, or equivalent may be considered for deployment, assignment/secondment prior to the assessment of other applicants. An assignment, secondment, or acting appointment requires approval of your supervisor.
HOW TO :
You will be required to answer screening questions to demonstrate how you meet the Essential & Asset Qualifications (Education and all Experience).
When answering the screening questions, it is not sufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current or past responsibilities. You must provide concrete examples of tasks you have accomplished with significant details to explain the WHAT, WHEN, WHERE and HOW you acquired each qualification.
