Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, inventory tracking, and month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable Support
- Generate AR aging and collection reports
- Provide high-level oversight of receivables and flag overdue accounts
- Assist with collections and follow-ups on outstanding balances
- Support escalation of seriously overdue accounts and legal/collection documentation
Accounts Payable Support
- Generate AP aging and payment reports
- Prepare and process weekly vendor payment runs
- Provide oversight of AP transactions and coding accuracy
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Reconciliations
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Monthly corporate credit card reconciliations
Inventory & Asset Support
- Assist with inventory tracking and reconciliation
- Participate in quarterly inventory counts
- Occasional travel may be required
Month-End Close Support
- Assist with month-end working papers and reconciliations
Qualifications
- Accounting diploma or degree
- 2 years experience
- QuickBooks experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Mandarin is an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
