Licensed Agricultural Service Technician (Road Technician)

As a Road Technician, you'll travel to customer farms and job sites in a company-provided service truck to diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural equipment while providing outstanding customer service.
What You'll Do
- Travel to customer locations to diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on a wide range of equipment.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrains, and precision agriculture technology.
- Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Use manufacturer diagnostic software and service information to accurately troubleshoot equipment.
- Complete work orders, service reports, and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service truck.
- Communicate repair recommendations and equipment status clearly with customers and internal team members.
- Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
- Represent Advantage Farm Equipment professionally while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Participate in ongoing manufacturer and technical training.
QualificationsRequired
- Licensed 421A Agricultural Equipment Technician or equivalent experience servicing agricultural equipment.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving abstract.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls efficiently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime during seasonal peaks to support our customers.
Preferred
- Experience servicing AGCO equipment.
- Experience using electronic diagnostic software and precision agriculture technology.
- Welding and fabrication experience is considered an asset.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as required
- Participation in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours service support across the territories served by our Wyoming, London, and Essex locations.
- Overtime available based on customer and seasonal business needs.
